Security firm SlowMist has identified over 8,620 Solana wallets connected to the recent DEXX hack, where the decentralized exchange suffered an exploit on November 16. Initially reported as a $21 million theft, losses have now risen to an estimated $30 million, making it one of November's largest crypto attacks. The breach, affecting at least 900 users, stemmed from a private key leak, with individual losses ranging from under $10,000 to over $1 million. SlowMist’s MistTrack traced the stolen funds being converted into Solana (SOL) tokens. While DEXX is collaborating with law enforcement and security experts, SlowMist plans to release additional wallet addresses linked to the hack on Ethereum, BNB Chain, and Base. In response, DEXX offered the hacker a bug bounty and token rewards for returning the funds, though appeals through blockchain messages and email have gone unanswered. Meanwhile, DEXX is implementing security upgrades and pledging to compensate affected users, depending on fund recovery. The incident underscores ongoing vulnerabilities in the crypto ecosystem despite a reported 15% drop in overall crypto thefts this year, according to Immunefi. As recovery efforts continue, the DEXX team aims to rebuild trust in its platform while investigating the full extent of the breach.
